  13.           You are probably anxious to get started, but there are a few
  14.           points worth mentioning.
  15.  
  16.           1.  If all else fails, read the PCForm Reference Manual.
  17.  
  18.               a.  The manual is easily printed by using the  following
  19.                   DOS command line entry.
  20.  
  21.                   COPY PCFORM.DOC PRN  <ENTER>
  22.  
  23.               b.  Be sure your  printer  is  turned  on  and  properly
  24.                   aligned  for  top  of  page.   Page  form  feeds are
  25.                   provided and the manual is 41 pages long.
  26.  
  27.           2.  PCForm is self installing.
  28.  
  29.               a.  The  following DOS command line entry will begin the
  30.                   installation process.

  32.                   PCFORM INSTALL  <ENTER>
  33.  
  34.               b.  You will be prompted for the install destination.
  35.  
  36.                   example:  C:\PCFORM\PROGRAM
  37.  
  38.               c.  If the location given does not  exist,  PCForm  will
  39.                   create it for you.
  40.  
  41.           3.  SET your environment variable.
  42.  
  43.               a.  If PCForm is  not  in  the  current  directory  when
  44.                   started,  it will look for the following environment
  45.                   variable to locate internal data.  If this  variable
  46.                   is  not present, you are asked to enter the location
  47.                   of PCForm.  To avoid this constant entry a line  can
  48.                   be added to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

  50.                   SET PCFORM=location
  51.  
  52.               b.  Replace "location" with the drive  and/or  directory
  53.                   where PCForm resides.

  55.                   example:  SET PCFORM=C:\PCFORM\PROGRAM

  61.           4.  Establish your startup search path.
  62.  
  63.               a.  To avoid root directory clutter,  PCForm  will  org-
  64.                   anize  your  forms  from  an  established  drive and
  65.                   directory.  Use the menu option  Setup/Path,  within
  66.                   PCForm, to create your own startup search path.  The
  67.                   initial  default  settings are the current drive and
  68.                   the directory \PCFORM.
  69.  
  70.               b.  Use the menu  option  Setup/Save  to  make  any  new
  71.                   settings available for the next use of PCForm.
